Hi Charles Water Karate Team,
I just wanted to take a moment to say THANKS TO YOU for all that you’ve done to keep the studio going through this all – and giving the kids some consistency and much needed interaction and exercise through these times as well. I know you continue to rightfully so acknowledge the kids, but you too should be acknowledged for adjusting and keeping it going.
The Presentation Ceremony was terrific – glad we were able to be there in person. It’s nice to see everyone progress in their own way and achieve the next higher belt. The Black Belt Mindset is a good thing.
Hi Master Water,
My sons have had a great experience continuing their karate via Zoom the last few months.
While there was much uncertainty in the world, they could always count on Master Water and Master Quintano to continue to be there for them. Keeping a schedule and having continuity in our lives has been a goal the last few months.
They continued to learn new skills, practice karate, attend TNT (Teacher in Training) meetings, have private karate sessions and even earned their brown belts while being home!
They also enjoyed participating in special themed activities like the Parents’ Night In and the Clean Room Contest which gave them something fun to do when they couldn’t do much else.
Hello Master and Mrs. Water,
After training for 9 1/2 years, it is hoped that certain aspects of the training become ingrained and will always be a part of your personality – things like improved concentration skills, courage and improved listening skills. I use Master Water’s training techniques on a daily bases – I have no doubt I am a better parent and husband because of my training – on a daily basis I hear Master Water’s words come from my mouth when dealing with my kids and others.
But the part of karate I cherish most is the people I have met and trained with. I was fortunate to begin with a stable group which took its training seriously and continued through Dan testing.
With the exception of my immediate family, those nine years shaped my life more than anything. The gifts I received from the studio will be lifelong enhancements to all aspects of my life.
I knew the community was a little better because another member reached black belt. The future became a little brighter because a young adult was instilled with the qualities of a Charles Water training program.
What a gift you have been to the community.
Dear Master Water and Master Quintano,
Karate training has helped me in the past 9 months by helping me be much more focused.
I am focusing more by paying more attention in school. For example, I won 3rd place in today’s CNN 10 Kahoot.
Karate Training has also helped me to give myself more encouragement to do things. I encouraged myself to do things by putting in more effort. For example, I have a math test on Tuesday, and I started to review when I completed by homework. So that I can be prepared, and not wait the night before.
Lastly, I know that when I start something I have to finish it. So keeping the Black Belt Mindset in mind I am working toward earning my Black Belt.
Also I am using Master Water’s and Master Quintano’s advice to guide me.
Maya🌺 Age 10
Our child has been a student at Charles Water Karate and Fitness for a little over a year. The level of confidence that he has gained over a short period of time is truly remarkable.
Master Waters and Master Quintano are patient, kind and they create an environment of structure and respect. It’s amazing to watch the level of focus that is learned in the karate studio carry over into school. Even during this pandemic, classes were run very similar to how they actually are in the studio. Our child has benefited from having a consistent karate schedule even from home.
We highly recommend Charles Water Karate and Fitness.
